Srinagar, June 24 -- Srinagar- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday hailed SKUAST-Kashmir's transformation from a regionally focused institution into a nationally recognised university, saying its journey from "local roots to global aspirations" reflects remarkable progress in academics, research, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Chairing the 36th University Council Meeting of SKUAST-Kashmir at Raj Bhavan, the Lieutenant Governor said the university's transformative initiatives have the potential to position it as a leading, innovation-driven and globally engaged agricultural institution.
