Srinagar, June 14 -- Srinagar- Director General of Police, J&K, Nalin Prabhat on Saturday chaired a high-level security review meeting in Srinagar to assess preparedness for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 and directed officers to maintain a high state of readiness across the Union Territory.

Chairing the meeting at PCR Kashmir, the DGP called for heightened vigilance at all sensitive and vulnerable locations and ordered intensified surveillance, area domination exercises, cordon and search operations (CASOs), and continuous patrolling along the Yatra routes, railway tracks, tourist destinations and other vulnerable pockets.
