Schools Reopen Across Kashmir After 21-Day Summer Break
Srinagar, July 27 -- Srinagar- Government and private schools across the Kashmir division reopened on Monday after a 21-day summer vacation that was extended twice owing to the prevailing heatwave and adverse weather conditions.
According to officials, the government had initially announced summer vacation for all government and recognised private schools in the Kashmir division and winter zones of the Jammu division from July 6 to July 19.
However, on July 18, the School Education Department extended the vacation till July 22 in view of the prevailing heatwave and an inclement weather advisory issued by the Meteorological Department.
