India, Sept. 16 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday urged society to remain vigilant against divisive elements, asserting that unity is India's greatest strength and calling upon saints and enlightened members of society to contribute towards the country's development.

Sinha made the remarks while attending the Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha in Raebareli in the presence of Pandit Pradeep Mishra.

Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor described the teachings of Lord Shiva as a "sacred pilgrimage" for seekers of truth and underlined the role of spiritual gatherings in strengthening values of harmony and collective welfare.
