Srinagar, Sept. 3 -- Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness one or two spells of light to moderate rain and thundershowers at many places on Friday, with brief intense showers possible at isolated locations, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar said on Thursday.

According to the latest forecast, the weather is expected to remain generally dry from September 5 to 12, although brief spells of rain or thundershowers may occur at isolated to scattered places, particularly during the early morning and forenoon hours.

The MeT Centre has advised people to remain cautious on September 4, warning that brief intense showers at localised places could trigger flash floods, mudslides and landslides.
