Pulwama Man Accused in NDPS Case Escapes NCB Custody in Jammu
Srinagar, Sept. 7 -- Srinagar- In a major security lapse, an accused from South Kashmir has escaped from the custody of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) at its headquarters in Jammu.
The accused has been identified as Aqib Bashir, a resident of Kakapora area of Pulwama district of South Kashmir.
Officials said that Aqib Bashir, who was under NCB custody in connection with a narcotics case, managed to escape late last night from the NCB office, reported news agency GNS.
Soon after the incident came to light, senior officers were informed and a massive manhunt has been launched to re-arrest the accused. Multiple teams have been constituted and searches are being carried out at various locations.
