Srinagar, May 4 -- Early this spring, the administration moved ahead with the long-delayed revival of the Mohra Hydroelectric Power Project, a century-old facility that once powered large parts of the valley before falling into disuse.
Officials framed the decision as part of a broader push to expand local generation and reduce dependence on power imports during peak winter months, when demand spikes and supply gaps widen.
