Srinagar, May 20 -- Srinagar- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a meeting of the Union government's Council of Ministers on Thursday to review the functioning of ministries, key policy decisions, their outcomes and future plans, official sources said.

The meeting, the first of the Council of Ministers this year, assumes significance amid speculation over a possible cabinet reshuffle.

All Cabinet ministers, Ministers of State with independent charge and other Ministers of State are expected to attend the meeting.

According to sources, the discussions will focus on the functioning of various ministries and departments, implementation of government schemes and programmes, and strategies to improve delivery and effectiveness.
