PM Modi Urges Amarnath Pilgrims to Follow Five Pledges
Srinagar, July 3 -- New Delhi- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday urged devotees undertaking the annual Amarnath Yatra to follow five pledges aimed at ensuring a safe, clean and responsible pilgrimage.
In a post on X, Modi said the Amarnath Yatra associated with Baba Barfani is an enduring symbol of India's spiritual traditions and cultural harmony, and expressed hope that the pilgrimage remains safe and auspicious for all devotees.
In a letter addressed to pilgrims, the prime minister said participating in the annual yatra was a matter of great fortune and that it reflected India's unity in diversity by bringing together people from different regions, languages and traditions.
