Srinagar, July 3 -- Srinagar- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday urged devotees undertaking the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra to take five pledges aimed at ensuring a clean, safe and responsible pilgrimage while contributing to local livelihoods, environmental conservation and nation-building.

In a special message to pilgrims, pamphlets of which were distributed by the Jammu and Kashmir administration at the Nunwan and Baltal base camps, Modi called upon devotees to maintain cleanliness, follow safety guidelines, support local livelihoods, promote environmental conservation and uphold the spirit of "Nation First".
