Srinagar, Sept. 25 -- Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir government has said that the alignment finalisation for the proposed Peer Ki Gali and Sadhna tunnels is currently underway, while the Singphora-Vailoo tunnel project has reached the bidding stage.

The government made the disclosure in response to an unstarred question raised by MLA Irfan Hafiz Lone regarding the status of proposed tunnel projects and measures being taken to ensure their timely execution.

According to the reply submitted by the Public Works (R&B) Department, the proposed Peer Ki Gali tunnel on the Mughal Road has an approximate length of 8.51 kilometres and is being executed by Project BEACON.
