Srinagar, Sept. 29 -- Srinagar- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said more than 1.3 million clerical errors in land records have been identified and rectified as part of the ongoing digitisation and verification of Jamabandis across Jammu and Kashmir.

Replying to a question raised by MLA Devyani Rana during Question Hour in the ongoing Autumn Session of the J&K Legislative Assembly, Abdullah, who also holds the Revenue portfolio, said verification of digitised Jamabandis is currently underway in all districts of the Union Territory.

He said the administration has put in place a digitisation and error-rectification mechanism aimed at ensuring that land records remain accurate and free from discrepancies.
