Srinagar, April 7 -- Anantnag- In a significant development that underscores the judiciary's tightening grip on organised financial crimes, the Court of the Principal Sessions Judge, Anantnag, has framed charges against three accused in a high-value fraud case involving alleged deception in the trade of forest produce.

The case, titled UT of J&K through SHO Anantnag vs. Tasaduq Hussain Dar, Mohammad Iqbal Wani, and Mujeeb Ahmad Koka, pertains to an alleged scam in which the accused are said to have duped a licensed contractor of the NTPF Forest Division, Kishtwar, of Rs.56 lakh under the pretext of supplying wild garlic, valuable forest product.
