Srinagar, April 30 -- Srinagar- Jailed Lok Sabha member Sheikh Abdul Rashid, popularly known as Engineer Rashid, arrived in Srinagar on Thursday after the Delhi High Court granted him a week's interim bail to visit his ailing father.

Officials said Rashid landed at Srinagar airport in the afternoon and proceeded directly to SMHS Hospital to meet his father, who is undergoing treatment.

The interim relief was granted on Tuesday by a Delhi High Court bench comprising Justices Prathiba M Singh and Madhu Jain. The court permitted Rashid to either remain at home with his family or visit the hospital during the one-week period.
