India, Oct. 17 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary for approving Strategic Investment Plans (SIPs) worth Rs.475.41 crore for upgrading Industrial Training Institute (ITI) clusters across Jammu and Kashmir under the Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU) scheme.

Under the initiative, the Jammu ITI Cluster will receive an approved investment of Rs.240 crore, while Rs.235.41 crore has been earmarked for the Srinagar ITI Cluster.

The Jammu cluster will have ITI Jammu as its hub, with ITIs at R.S. Pura, Nowshera, Samba and Kathua functioning as spokes.
