Srinagar, May 21 -- Jammu- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday inaugurated the state-of-the-art Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Helipad at Village Hutt in Katra, saying the integrated aviation facility will enhance heli connectivity, safety and convenience for pilgrims visiting the holy shrine.

The Lieutenant Governor also inaugurated the helipad and other related infrastructure works at the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine.

Addressing the gathering, Sinha said the new facility has been developed in strict compliance with the safety and operational norms laid down by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
