Srinagar, Sept. 2 -- Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) on Wednesday staged a protest in Srinagar, calling on the BJP-led central government to fulfil its commitments to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, including restoration of statehood and addressing concerns over constitutional guarantees and reservation for youth.

NC chief spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq said the protest was aimed at reminding the BJP leadership in New Delhi of the promises made to the people of J&K.

"We only want to remind the BJP leadership in Delhi that the promises you made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir must be fulfilled. The time has now come," Sadiq said on the sidelines of the protest.
