India, Oct. 22 -- Prominent social and political activist, Syed Muzamil Rizvi has been appointed as a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Personal Law Board.

Following the appointment, Rizvi expressed gratitude to the Board's leadership for reposing trust in him and providing him an opportunity to serve the community.

He extended special thanks to Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam and Er Danish Reshi, General Secretary (Organisation), besides other members of the Board, for their support and guidance.

Rizvi said he would work in coordination with the Board's leadership to address community issues, uphold Islamic principles and promote unity and understanding across Jammu and Kashmir.
