Srinagar, Aug. 21 -- Srinagar- A motorcyclist died after his motorcycle collided with a truck in the Kanispora area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Friday, officials said.

An official said that the rider sustained injuries in the accident and was shifted to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival, reported news agency KNO.

The deceased was identified as Mudasir Rasool Ganai, son of Ghulam Rasool Ganai, a resident of Dangarpora, Sopore.

Meanwhile, police have taken up an investigation into the incident.
