Srinagar, May 12 -- Srinagar- The Meteorological Department on Tuesday forecast more spells of rain and thundershowers across Jammu and Kashmir over the next 24 hours, while warning of hailstorms, lightning and gusty winds at isolated places.

According to the Meteorological Centre Srinagar, generally cloudy weather accompanied by intermittent rain and thundershowers was witnessed across several areas of both Kashmir and Jammu divisions during the day.

Officials said that a few places are likely to witness hailstorms and thunderstorms along with gusty winds reaching speeds of 50 to 60 kilometres per hour.
