Srinagar, July 3 -- Srinagar - People's Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti, who is on a visit to Iran, expressed condolences over the death of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, describing him as a revered leader who stood for the oppressed.

In a post on X from Tehran, Mufti said it was an honour to be in the Iranian capital to convey her "deepest condolences and solidarity" following Khamenei's martyrdom.

"An honour for me to be here in Tehran to express my deepest condolences & solidarity on the martyrdom of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei - a revered leader who dared to stand against the tide & fought for the oppressed," she said.
