Srinagar, Aug. 31 -- Srinagar- A man died after coming in contact with an electric wire in the Lassana area of Surankote in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, officials said.

An official said that the man came in contact with an electric wire and suffered a severe electric shock.

He was subsequently shifted to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The deceased was identified as Ibrar Manhas, a resident of Surankot, reported news agency KNO.

A police team reached the spot and initiated necessary proceedings.
