Srinagar, May 21 -- Srinagar- LPG consumers across Kashmir are facing difficulties in getting their gas cylinders refilled as distributors witness a heavy rush for mandatory eKYC verification of connections.

The move has led to long queues at distribution centres, while many consumers are also struggling with the self-eKYC process introduced for booking refills.

Several consumers said the process has become difficult due to limited smartphone access, technical issues and privacy concerns linked to mobile applications required for verification.

"I have an LPG connection and now I have to download two apps and complete the eKYC process. These applications ask for several phone permissions, which raises privacy concerns," said Yawar Ahmad...
