I was at a well-known bookstore in Srinagar to buy some books. Mother Mary Comes to Me was one of them.
An Australian lady, close to 70 years of age, walked in and asked for the same book. I exchanged pleasantries and told her that I was there to buy a copy too. She had already read the book (and perhaps needed it now to gift someone).
"It is about her mother," she told me.
"I thought it was an autobiography," I replied, slightly confused.
"Yes, it is, but she writes about her mother. That is why it says 'Mother Mary' Comes to Me."
The title of the book and a verse from the Beatles' song: Let it Be.
