Srinagar, Aug. 4 -- Srinagar- A minor girl was injured after being attacked by a leopard in Dragad village of Shopian district on Tuesday.

Officials said that the girl, identified as Zanab, daughter of Aafiq Ahmad Thoker, resident of Dragad, was attacked by a wild leopard, reported news agency GNS.

She sustained injuries in the attack and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her condition is stated to be stable.

Following the incident, locals have urged the Wildlife Department to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the area.
