Srinagar, Aug. 21 -- Srinagar- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday urged politicians to refrain from commenting on religious matters, saying such issues should be left to religious leaders while elected representatives focus on issues concerning the people.

Omar was responding to recent remarks by Leader of Opposition in the J&K Assembly and BJP leader Sunil Sharma and cautioned politicians against playing with public sentiments.

"People should not play with people's emotions," Omar said.
