Srinagar, Sept. 9 -- Srinagar- A 50-year-old labourer was killed after a wall collapsed at a crusher unit in the Mendhar area of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

Officials said the deceased was identified as Tasaduq Hussain, son of Said Mohammad, a resident of Mendhar. He was working at the crusher unit when the wall collapsed and fell on him.

He was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital Mendhar, where doctors declared him brought dead, reported news agency GNS.

Medical Officer Dr Javid Iqbal Choudhary confirmed that the labourer was brought dead to the hospital.

Further proceedings have been initiated in connection with the incident.
