Srinagar, Sept. 20 -- Srinagar- Kashmiri feature film The Sledge, written and directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Raja Shabir Mohd Khan, has been selected for the International Competition of the 31st SCHLiNGEL International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences in Chemnitz, Germany.

The festival is scheduled to be held from October 2 to 10, with The Sledge set to have its world premiere at the prestigious international festival.

The 75-minute Kashmiri-language film is set against the snow-covered landscapes of Kashmir and revolves around three children who accidentally break their father's sledge. Fearing punishment, they decide to earn money to repair it by selling kahwa to tourists in Gulmarg.
