Srinagar- Artificial intelligence, quantum science, biotechnology, climate research and water security will share the same stage this week at a gathering designed to ask a practical question: what can science do for Jammu and Kashmir now?

The Islamic University of Science and Technology will host the JK Science Congress 2026 from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1, bringing scientists, academicians, researchers, innovators, policymakers, industry representatives and students to its main campus.

Manoj Sinha, the lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir and chancellor of IUST, will inaugurate the Congress on Tuesday.
