Kashmir Set for Hottest Days of Season Before Wet Spell Returns
Srinagar, July 16 -- Srinagar- A prolonged spell of hot, dry weather is expected to grip Kashmir over the next three days, with Srinagar likely to record the season's highest temperature of 36-37 degrees Celsius.
An official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the heat wave will be followed by widespread rainfall from the night of July 18, reported news agency KNO.
The Meteorological Centre, Srinagar stated that J&K's summer capital Srinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 32.0degC on Wednesday, 1.9degC above normal, while the minimum settled at 19.0degC, 0.3degC above normal. Jammu recorded 34.7degC, 0.7degC above normal.
