Kashmir Needs Volunteers
Srinagar, July 9 -- Communities become stronger when people stop waiting for someone else to fix local problems.
That idea feels especially relevant in Kashmir, where health challenges, environmental damage and social issues often put heavy pressure on public institutions.
Government has an important role to play, though a strong society also grows when ordinary people give their time, skills and energy to help those around them.
Volunteerism often begins with simple acts: students teach children after school, young people clean parks and public spaces, doctors hold free medical camps, lawyers guide families through legal questions, and blood donation drives bring strangers together for a common cause.
