India, Oct. 17 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Sujit Kumar Singh on Saturday directed all police stations across the Valley to adopt SMART Policing and Digital Beat Policing as an integral part of their day-to-day functioning.

Singh was chairing a conference on "SMART Policing and Digital Beat Policing", attended by Range Deputy Inspectors General of Police, District Senior Superintendents of Police, Additional SPs, Zonal SPs, Deputy SPs and Station House Officers from across the Kashmir Zone.

According to a police spokesperson, the directions were issued in line with the instructions of the Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police.
