Srinagar, April 27 -- Bengaluru - In a move reflecting growing inter-state cooperation on renewable energy, a Karnataka delegation led by S.E. Sudheendra met Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday to discuss opportunities for collaboration in the bioenergy sector.
During the meeting, Sudheendra, who chairs the Karnataka State Bioenergy Development Board and also serves as Vice President of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, highlighted Karnataka's push toward renewable energy under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He said the state has prioritised bioenergy within its broader clean energy strategy, with a focus on converting agricultural, municipal, and other waste streams into usable energy.
