Srinagar, June 25 -- Srinagar- Senior Shia cleric Maulana Masroor Abbas Ansari on Thursday said the only recompense Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) sought from the Muslim Ummah for conveying the message of Prophethood was love for his family, the Ahlul Bayt, while describing Muharram processions and Majalis as a means of paying tribute to Imam Hussain (AS) and propagating his message.

Addressing a gathering at Alamgari Bazaar during the traditional 9th Muharram Alam procession in Srinagar's old city, Ansari recalled the sacrifices of Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala and paid glowing tributes to them.
