Srinagar, Oct. 1 -- Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir Police chief Nalin Prabhat on Wednesday said increasing participation of children and youth in sports and constructive activities was helping the Union Territory move towards peace and prosperity while countering the "nefarious designs" of the neighbouring country.

Addressing the flag-in ceremony of the 'Run for Unity' marathon, Prabhat said the growing participation reflected the younger generation's commitment to a peaceful and prosperous future.

"The increase in participation every year shows that our children and youth are working towards a peaceful and prosperous future," he said.
