Srinagar, Aug. 3 -- Srinagar- Two persons were killed and hundreds of people, including tourists, were evacuated after multiple cloudbursts and intense rainfall battered several parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on Monday, triggering flash floods, damaging homes, roads, bridges and agricultural land, and forcing the closure of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

A 52-year-old woman was washed away after a cloudburst triggered flash floods in the Himli area of Lolab in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, while a man drowned in a water body in Singhpora area of Baramulla amid the inclement weather, officials said.
