J&K Receives 241 Tourist Complaints, Rs.53 Lakh Fines, Refunds
Srinagar, Oct. 3 -- Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Enforcement Department received 241 complaints from tourists between January 1 and October 1 this year, of which 140 have been disposed of while 101 remain pending.
According to data, the department imposed fines amounting to Rs.16,95,700 on erring service providers during the period and facilitated refunds worth Rs.36,43,440 to aggrieved tourists.
The data showed that J&K recorded 15,45,347 domestic tourist arrivals during the period, while 16,020 foreign tourists visited the Union Territory.
