Srinagar, April 10 -- Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir is preparing for a paperless Census 2027, with authorities set to roll out a fully digital, technology-driven enumeration process across the Union Territory.

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Friday said the exercise will mark a major shift in governance, describing it as a "national digital transformation mission" that will lay the foundation for a 'Viksit Bharat'.

Addressing the Census 2027 Summit at Abhinav Theatre in Jammu, Dulloo said India is at a "crucial data inflection point" and that the upcoming census will go beyond routine enumeration to become a cornerstone for data-driven governance.
