J&K Plans Rs.482-Cr PM-SETU Push to Modernise 10 ITIs
Srinagar, Sept. 10 -- Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir is set to modernise 10 government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) under the Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU) scheme, with an indicative investment of around Rs.482 crore over five years.
The initiative was reviewed at the first UT-level Steering Committee meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, who stressed that the upgradation of ITIs should go beyond physical infrastructure and focus on creating an industry-aligned ecosystem that equips youth with skills leading to quality and well-paid employment.
