J&K Orders Seizure, FIRs Against Commercial Vehicles Over 25 Years Old
Srinagar, Oct. 1 -- Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir Transport Department has directed field offices to seize commercial vehicles that have completed 25 years and register FIRs against those found operating on roads.
Transport Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan urged owners of such vehicles to voluntarily scrap them, citing concerns over the safety of commuters.
In a post on X, Mahajan said the department had instructed its field offices to take action against commercial vehicles that have crossed the 25-year age limit.
