J&K HC Upholds Bail To 70-Year-Old In UAPA Case
Srinagar, Sept. 8 -- Srinagar- The High Court of J&K and Ladakh on Tuesday dismissed an appeal filed by the government challenging the bail granted to a 70-year-old accused in a case registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, holding that the trial court committed no illegality or perversity in enlarging him on bail.
A Division Bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Kumar and Justice Mohd Yousuf Wani pronounced the judgment in an appeal filed by the government through Police Station Bijbehara against the bail order passed by the Special Judge designated under the UAPA at Anantnag.
