Srinagar, Sept. 2 -- Srinagar- The High Court of J&K and Ladakh on Wednesday quashed a preventive detention order issued under the Public Safety Act (PSA) against a Pulwama resident, holding that the detention lacked a live and proximate link between his past conduct and the need for preventive custody.

A bench of Justice M. A. Chowdhary while allowing a petition filed by Suhail Fayaz Najar of Hariparigam, Awantipora Pulwama, challenging the Detention Order dated July 10, 2025, passed by the District Magistrate, Pulwama.
