J&K Govt Okays Free Transport for Differently Abled
India, Sept. 16 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday sanctioned free public transport services for differently-abled persons across the Union Territory, fulfilling a key announcement made in the government's Budget presented in March this year.
The Chief Minister's Office said the facility will provide free ridership to differently-abled persons on public transport services operated by the Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC).
The benefit will also extend to e-buses operated by Jammu Smart City Limited and Srinagar Smart City Limited.
