J&K Govt Notifies Common Duct Policy 2026
India, Oct. 5 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government has notified the Common Duct Policy 2026, aimed at supporting planned urban growth, improving utility management and strengthening digital connectivity across the Union Territory.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah described the policy as a major step towards modern urban infrastructure, efficient utility management and cleaner cityscapes in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Following approval by the Council of Ministers, the Government has notified the Jammu and Kashmir Common Duct Policy 2026, establishing a framework for shared utility corridors for power, water, telecom, gas and digital networks," Omar posted on his official X handle on Monday.
