Srinagar, April 27 -- Srinagar-Jammu & Kashmir is set for a major rural development push with Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Rural DevelopmentShivraj Singh Chouhanannouncing a Rs.4,568 crore package, alongside the rollout of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)-IV, Batch-II, to expand connectivity and livelihoods across the Union Territory.

Chouhan, who began a two-day visit to J&K on Monday, said the PMGSY-IV Batch-II will be formally launched on April 28 at SKICC, Srinagar, in the presence of Chief MinisterOmar Abdullahand Deputy Chief MinisterSurinder Kumar Choudhary.
