Srinagar, Aug. 18 -- Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir is gearing up to host its first International Film Festival, with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reviewing preparations for the four-day event scheduled to be held across Srinagar and Jammu from September 7 to 10.

The inaugural International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJK) 2026 is being envisioned as an international platform for cinematic excellence, cultural exchange, creative collaboration and emerging filmmaking talent.

The festival will bring together filmmakers, artists, storytellers, industry leaders, policymakers, academicians, students and audiences from across the country and abroad, while providing opportunities for dialogue, networking and collaboration through cinema....
