Srinagar, Sept. 11 -- Srinagar- Household budgets across Jammu and Kashmir continue to face pressure from the rising cost of essential commodities, with consumers reporting higher prices of food and other daily-use items despite the administration's price-monitoring and enforcement mechanisms.

The latest available J&K price data shows retail prices of several essential commodities at elevated levels. The average retail price of milk stands at Rs.62.67 per litre, while sugar is priced at Rs.63.33 per kilogram. Moong dal is recorded at Rs.121.33 per kilogram and masoor dal at Rs.104.33 per kilogram.
