Srinagar, July 29 -- Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir is likely to receive more rainfall over the next week, with the Meteorological Centre here warning of possible flash floods, landslides and mudslides in vulnerable areas, officials said on Wednesday.

Samba recorded the highest rainfall in the Union Territory during the past 24 hours at 87 mm, followed by Katra at 71.2 mm, Udhampur at 65 mm and Jammu at 52 mm, the MeT said.

From July 29 to 31, most places are likely to receive light to moderate rain and thundershowers, with brief intense heavy showers and torrential rain possible at a few places in the Jammu division, generally during morning and late afternoon to evening hours, it said.
