Srinagar, Aug. 27 -- Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat has asked the General Administration Department (GAD) to withdraw the posting of a Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officer in the Assembly Secretariat, citing a lack of requisite expertise to oversee the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project.

In a letter to the Commissioner Secretary, GAD, the Assembly Secretariat sought revocation of the order appointing Bilal Ahmad Mir, JKAS, as Deputy Secretary in the Assembly.

The Secretariat stated that Mir "lacks the requisite qualification to run the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project in the J&K Legislative Assembly."
