Srinagar, July 15 -- Jammu- The University of Jammu has banned three authors and blacklisted two publishers linked to the controversial book Personalities and Legends of J&K, directing all its departments to withdraw their publications from libraries and digital repositories.

The move comes in the wake of allegations that the book glorified separatists and anti-national elements.

In an official circular, the University said the action was taken in compliance with Government Order No. 257-JK(Edu) of 2026, issued by the School Education Department on July 4, which banned the authors and publishers and ordered the withdrawal of all printed material authored or published by them across the Union Territory.
